Kate and Meghan make first appearance together on Christmas day
Meghan Markle and the Duchess of Cambridge put their best fashion feet forward! The duo made their first joint appearance together on Christmas Day, looking as stylish as ever in their church attire as they arrived to attend the annual service at St Magdalene Church in Sandringham. Kate – who is expecting her third baby in April – wore a $4,512 Miu Miu velvet-trimmed double-breasted tartan wool-blend peacoat, which was teamed with a black hat. The mom-of-two contrasted with future sister-in-law Meghan, who wore a camel coat by Sentarel. The Suits actress teamed her ensemble with a brown hat and matching boots.
Both Kate and Meghan have made names for themselves as fashion icons in their own rights, and as soon as either of them step out in an outfit, sales rocket. Although they notably have different tastes, they are both fans of many of the same labels. Meghan attended the Queen's Christmas lunch last week in a stunning lace dress by Self Portrait.
The Nightshade Midi design featured guipure lace short-sleeved bodice with black collar. The lace top is fitted to a black A-line skirt with a grosgrain waistband and flows to the calves, and retails for ÂŁ300 online. In November last year, meanwhile, Kate dressed in a white floor-length gown by the label to the premiere of A Street Cat Named Bob. The ÂŁ320 design had a white crochet bodice and a long flowy skirt with a thigh-high slit.
Earlier in the day, those who stayed over at Sandringham will have enjoyed a full English breakfast, and will have woken to find stockings filled with small gifts and fruit at the foot of their beds. After the service, the royal family will carry out a small, informal walkabout to greet members of the public. This will be followed by a sit-down lunch of roast turkey and all the trimmings at Sandringham House. A walk around the estate follows, before they gather around to watch the Queen's Christmas speech at 3 p.m.
