Kate Middleton’s Runway-Worthy Maternity Dress Is $255—And Already Sold Out
For an expectant mother, Kate Middleton’s social schedule seems packed. After traveling with Prince William on a four-day tour of Scandinavia in February, the Duchess also attended the BAFTA awards and presided over the first Royal Foundation Forum (alongside future sister-in-law Meghan Markle). And earlier today, Middleton traveled to open the new offices of Place2B, a children’s mental health charity of which the Duchess is a patron, donning a daytime dress from go-to maternity label Seraphine that retails for just $255 (and is already sold out).
The midnight-blue dress, with its high-necked lace top, empire waist, and pleated skirt, could almost have been a more casual version of a straight-off-the-runway style by Erdem that Middleton wore last month to a cocktail reception in Stockholm. Exaggerated sleeves with a ruffle detail had an elongating effect similar to the Erdem's bell-like silhouette. Black Stuart Weitzman pumps played off the ribbon detail at the waist, neck, and sleeves, finishing the look with a classic, elegant, and quintessentially Middleton touch.
