It's a rather big sporting weekend in England – and Kate Middleton ensured she gave a full-on patriotic nod with her first outfit back at Wimbledon since being forced to self-isolate.

The Duchess of Cambridge, 39, wowed in green as she attended the women's singles final at Centre Court yesterday.

Her eye-catching dress was accessorised with white heels and a white handbag, as well as an elegant bracelet and earrings.

In keeping with the patriotic moment, the royal mother-of-three – who is known for sending subtle messages through her wardrobe choices – turned to designers with English links for her outfit.

The duchess' fit-and-flare emerald dress, by London-based designer Emilia Wickstead, costs £1,380 and also nodded to the tennis tournament's iconic grass courts.

Similarly, her £550 shoes were by British brand Jimmy Choo, and paid tribute to the white court markings.

The royal – who is patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club – finished off her look with the 'Amberley' handbag from Mulberry, a firm founded in Somerset.

Kate's bracelet was English-made by Halycon Days, while her earrings were created by London-based designer Kiki McDonough.

The duchess was accompanied to the match by husband Prince William, and the pair later posted on their joint Instagram page, writing: "What an incredible match and performance by both athletes!

"Congratulations @ashbarty on being crowned #Wimbledon champion. It was amazing to see the atmosphere and support from the fans echoing through centre court once again.

"Well done to @Wimbledon and the staff on continuing to make the Championships such a special event."

Earlier this month, Kate visited the tournament wearing a blue and white polka dot skirt, navy blazer and white top, as well as gold jewellery.

The duchess, who also attended an England Euro 2020 football match at Wembley Stadium with the duke and their eldest son Prince George, was forced to self-isolate after being in close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.
