Kate Middleton's brother, James Middleton, has stirred up excitement over on his Instagram page after not only revealing his adorable new puppy, but also teasing some "more very exciting news to share soon".

33-year-old James uses his Instagram account primarily to share photos of his pet dogs, who he previously revealed helped save him from depression. James and his fiancé, Alizee Thevenet, already own five dogs - Ella, Inca, Luna, Zulu and Mabel - with young puppy Nala being the latest addition to the family.

Sharing a series of photographs of the brown baby spaniel, James wrote on Instagram: "Introducing Nala Middleton ❤️🐾 She is daughter of Zulu & granddaughter of Ella. I cannot wait to share many adventures with her and the rest of the pack 🐾⛰".

At the end of the post, however, Kate's younger brother teased another revelation. "Ps more very exciting news to share soon 👀," he wrote in brackets, and it's left us all wondering exactly what the next surprise will be. Will it be a human baby to go alongside their new fur baby? Or maybe it'll be the announcement of a shiny new wedding date for James and Alizee, who were one of the thousands of couples forced to postpone their May 2020 nuptials due to coronavirus.

I mean, we could guess all day, but nothing has been confirmed yet...

In a candid essay written for the Daily Mail back in January 2019, James Middleton bravely opened up about his struggle with mental health. Acknowledging, "I know I’m richly blessed and live a privileged life," James went on to say that wealth and privilege do not make a person "immune to depression".

Discussing the vital role his dogs had in his recovery, James wrote: "Ella, particularly, has been my constant companion for ten years and she’s been with me to all my therapy sessions. In her own particular way, she has kept me going." Ella and James now volunteer with the Pets As Therapy charity and Ella is a fully-fledged therapy dog.

Kate Middleton also accompanied her brother to some therapy sessions, along with the rest of their family. "I think the way the therapy helped me was that I didn’t need my family to say, 'What can we do?' The only thing they could do was just come to some of the therapy sessions to start to understand," James said in an interview with the Telegraph.

Some years down the line, James is much healthier mentally, and it's clear his pets will always play a special role in his life because of how they contributed to his recovery.
