Kate Middleton is currently spending quarantine working from home and homeschooling her kids—you know, just like a lot of us, except likely in a much bigger house and with two future Kings of England. (That would be her husband, Prince William, and her oldest child, Prince George.)
And while we’ve been able to get at least some version of a royal fashion fix thanks to all the Zoom meetings the duchess is holding, there’s one thing that’s missing: her shoes. Honestly, we hope she’s wearing sweatpants and comfy slippers because what even are work pants and shoes right now?
But it’s as if Middleton knew we were jonesing for some royal footwear, and being the ever-gracious duchess that she is, she dropped a never-before-seen photo onto her and William’s Instagram feed this week. The shot shows her hard at work on her Back to Nature garden in last year’s Chelsea Flower Show, wearing a pair of khaki-green Superga sneakers.
In even better news, the Superga Cotu Classic in Sherwood Gum is still available to buy for just $59. Given the fact that so many of us have decided to become full-time plant moms during quarantine, this green shade is absolutely perfect since it won’t show that dirt that you’ve been therapeutically digging in for weeks now.
We’ve seen the Duchess of Cambridge in Superga sneakers many times before—they’re one of her go-tos. But she typically wears them in crisp white. In fact, she even chose a pair to debut her garden to the press last year.
It’s a highly relatable move to opt for the green pair while doing the real work on the garden—and that’s just one of the many reasons Middleton is one of our favorite royals. And if she ever reveals a pair of sweats during a Zoom meeting, she just might shoot to the top of the list.
