Kawhi Leonard working on music project, will send proceeds to Mamba and Mambacita Foundation

The biggest surprise of the Los Angeles Clippers' season already happened. Even if the team manages to overcome its playoff troubles and win a championship, star Kawhi Leonard appearing on Instagram will go down as the most shocking thing to happen to the team.

The usually reserved Leonard made an appearance on Instagram on Monday to promote a new music project he's working on. No, really!

Leonard gave more details about the project — called "Culture Jam" — Wednesday. Leonard said the project was a merging of basketball and music. Proceeds from the project will go toward the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation.

The Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation seeks to create a "positive impact for underserved athletes and young women in sports," according to its website. The organization was founded in memory of Kobe and Gianna Bryant.

Kawhi Leonard teased new music from "Culture Jam" project

Leonard appeared on Instagram to share a snippet of a new song by NBA YoungBoy and Rod Wave. That song, titled "Everything Different," will be released May 7.

Little else is known about "Culture Jam" at the moment other than it will be released later this year.

With Leonard and the Clippers once again playing well, the surprise release with Leonard battling it out in the NBA finals could be an effective strategy.
