Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos wear horniest Halloween costumes yet, from libido as “Inside Out ”emotion to Olympic pole-vault penis
Consuelos put his crotch in a box, while Ripa dressed as Lady Gaga smoking a comical amount of cigarettes in the "Die With a Smile" video.
Days after Kelly Ripa revealed that Live With Kelly and Mark's annual Halloween episodes typically involve the cohosts being "stripped naked" in front of crew members backstage, she and husband Mark Consuelos brought holiday horniness in front of the cameras on one of the show's wildest seasonal offerings to date.
Continuing the talk show's years-long tradition of adorning themselves in sometimes horny, sometimes insane, sometimes elaborate (yet always iconic) pop culture-inspired Halloween costumes, Ripa and Consuelos took viewers on a meme-worthy journey of moments from the year in media, including references to Only Murders in the Building, Chimp Crazy, the resurgence of Tiger King, and more.

But first, the show kicked off with a musical tribute to Nicole Kidman's musical sequence that launched the runaway Netflix hit The Perfect Couple — all while Live cast and crew members dressed as characters from Beetlejuice (including Ripa as Winona Ryder, Consuelos as Michael Keaton, and producer Michael Gelman as Bob).
Next, Ripa starred in a re-imagined edition of Disney and Pixar's box office smash Inside Out 2, which introduced several new emotions into the mind of a now-50-year-old Riley, including Menopause (yes, who triggers hot flashes), Libido, Mood Swing, Brain Fog, and Dead Inside.
“What do you say you put that book down and join me on this side?” Riley's husband (played by Consuelos) says during one scene set in a bedroom, which cuts to a shot inside Riley's head, where Libido delivers an apathetic message: “Hi, you’ve reached Libido. I’m unavailable, please leave a message. Whatever you need from me, you’ll have to take care of it yourself.”
Next up was a steamy spoof of a Hallmark Christmas movie titled A Gold Medal Christmas, which starred the cohosts as Olympians that made headlines at the Parisian games this summer, including Australian break-dancing icon Raygun and Anthony Ammirati, a pole-vaulting athlete whose, uh, endowment swept the internet after his penis grazed the bar during his competitive run.

The fake trailer for the film even included a cameo from gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik, who popped up a few times in the clip, following a cameo from Oscar-winning actress Da'Vine Joy Randolph earlier in the Only Murders in the Building segment.
Consuelos and Ripa also shifted into quick-change mode between commercial breaks, briefly changing into outfits to channel Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, before leading a double-header of Lady Gaga references toward the middle of the show. First, the couple sported retro outfits similar to the ones Gaga and Bruno Mars sported in their "Die With a Smile" music video, with the pair spoofing Gaga's heavily meme'd cigarette from the visual — with a portion of the show's take revolving around the number of cigarettes in Ripa's mouth growing exponentially each time the camera cut to her.
Later, Consuelos and Ripa returned to the set as Joker (Joaquin Phoenix) and Harley Quinn (Gaga) from Joker: Folie à Deux, in between interviewing pop star Joey Fatone while he was dressed as Wolverine and the cohosts sported suits inspired by Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool character.

The show's 2024 Halloween edition comes after last year's spirited broadcast, which featured 50 costume changes, from a scene inspired by Ghost to a hybrid of The Golden Bachelor and The White Lotus.
Outside of the Live bubble, other celebrity Halloween costumes this year included Janelle Monáe's disturbing getup as E.T., Halle Bailey dressing up as her name twin Halle Berry, and Drag Race star Jinkx Monsoon as legendary Pokémon Jynx (naturally).
