Kelowna woman dies in single-vehicle crash near Banff

Police say a 23-year-old woman from Kelowna, B.C., died after a single-vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada Highway near Banff on Wednesday evening.

The vehicle was travelling westbound when it lost control and rolled over at the Minnewanka Road/Banff Avenue exit, according to RCMP.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene when emergency crews arrived.

Three other passengers — a man, a woman and a female youth, all from Kelowna — were assessed for minor injuries and taken to hospital.

Police say they're continuing to investigate the collision but don't plan on providing any further updates to the public.
