Kenan Thompson and fellow 'Mighty Ducks' cast members reunite
Dear god I hope I grow old as graciously as the Mighty Ducks movie trilogy has.
Despite the original flick getting destroyed by critics upon its 1992 release, the series had two sequels and has aged into one of the most popular sports cult movies on the planet.
This past weekend, we were blessed with a nostalgic reunion as several of the film’s cast members gathered to hit up a Ducks-Islanders contest after taking to the ice themselves at a rink in upstate New York.
Some mighty great people joined us at today’s game!

Saturday Night Live star Kenan Thompson, who played knuckle-pucking Russ Tyler in the movies, is easily the most recognizable of the bunch. Starring in the film’s 1994 sequel, Thompson is currently the longest serving cast member on SNL.
The 40-year-old comedian was joined by fellow cast members Vincent LaRusso (Adam Banks), Colombe Jacobsen-Derstine (Julie “The Cat” Gaffney), Garette Ratliff Henson (Guy Germaine) and Danny Tamberelli (Tommy Duncan) for the rendezvous.
And the group was properly outfitted.

The gang was on the ice filming a mysterious bit, garnering some speculation that a Mighty Ducks-themed Super Bowl commercial may be in the works.
Here’s to hoping those rumours prove false and that Mighty Ducks D4 “The Beer Leagues” will be hitting the big screen in the not-so-distant future.
