Kenyan Boys Choir performs at Winnipeg's Balmoral Hall

Students at Balmoral Hall in Winnipeg were treated to a performance by the Kenyan Boys Choir on Tuesday, a day after the world-touring group sang at We Day.

The private school for girls was chosen as the site of an exclusive performance, according to officials.

Starting as an after-school program in Nairobi in 2004, the Kenyan Boys Choir became known worldwide when it performed at U.S. President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009.

The choir was one of several musical acts at We Day, which brought thousands of students and teachers from across Manitoba to the MTS Centre for live music and motivational speeches.

Other performers included Tyler Shaw and Kardinal Offishall.
