Kevin Costner’s ex Christine has officially left his Santa Barbara compound to live in a new rental home.

During the exes’ child support hearing on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1, it was revealed that Christine, 49, has moved into a spacious new home, which is being rented at a cost of $40,000 per month. The pair share three children together: Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13.

The one-acre property is located just a few minutes from the beach and features a guest house, a pool house, two fire pits and a jacuzzi. Inside, the home boasts six bedrooms, six bathrooms, and hardwood floors. It's outfitted with antique furniture from a nearby shop.

Additional amenities include a bocce ball court and outdoor kitchen equipped with a barbecue. The yard is surrounded by greenery to ensure privacy.

During the hearing, Kevin, 68, said that while he wouldn’t personally live in the rental because he “prefers to be on the ocean,” he added that he would “like some features of that home” in his own Santa Barbara compound.

In reference to his home and his ex’s rental, he said, “I believe they are comparable. I don’t believe they are equal.” Of his own property, he continued: “I raised 3 children in that house. It’s a beach house — their hands are in the stone.

Kevin and his former wife of 18 years officially split in April after Christine filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences.” Following their separation, the Emmy Award-winning actor claimed his wife was "refusing” to leave his Santa Barbara home despite their prenuptial agreement stating that she must vacate the property 30 days after filing for divorce.

In court documents obtained by PEOPLE in June, Christine said her ex-husband’s claims were “simply not true” and that she would willingly move out once a child support agreement was finalized.

She argued that Kevin was “ignoring the impact” that moving out without a financial plan would have on their children, and at the time she was requesting $248,000 a month in child support. At the hearing, it was decided that Kevin would give his ex monthly payments of $63,209.

The beachfront compound that Kevin claimed Christine was refusing to leave consists of three homes and two extensive lots. Before their separation, the pair lived on the $145 million estate with their kids for 17 years.
