Kimberly Guilfoyle Kept ‘Watchful Eye’ on Don Jr. and Bettina Anderson at Inauguration
Kimberly Guilfoyle “kept a watchful eye” on ex-fiancé Donald Trump Jr. and his new girlfriend, Bettina Anderson, while the trio brushed shoulders at events around the inauguration, an insider has revealed.
Trump Jr. publicly revealed the end of his relationship with Guilfoyle, a former Fox News host, by holding hands with Anderson, a model and Palm Beach socialite, but a source told People that there were no emotional fireworks when they all attended the festivities surrounding Donald Trump’s swearing-in.
“Kim saw Don with Bettina and it was all civil. No negativity,” said the insider, who also attended the Inauguration. ”She should be ambassador to Greece soon which is important to the administration, and she will be away a lot of the time. She is smart and dedicated. No need for animosity.”
Guilfoyle was named ambassador by her ex’s father the same day that his new relationship went public in December, effectively taking her out of the picture. She must still be confirmed by the Senate, however.
While there was not animosity, the source noted that Guilfoyle appeared especially interested in Trump Jr.’s movements during inauguration weekend.
“Kim is still very fond of Don, and kept a watchful eye out,” the source told People. “She knows how beautiful and well dressed Bettina is, and there is no question that she was hurt when her romance with Don ended.”
Anderson was front and center during the weekend leading up to the inauguration, often appearing alongside the Trumps, although she was apart from the family at the ceremony itself.
This was in spite of the fact that Trumpworld insiders said that the now-president was not a fan of Don Jr’s relationship with Anderson.
“Donald Trump does not approve of his son’s association with Bettina,” one source told Mediaite. “Bettina’s presence is seen as a liability rather than an asset.”
Trump Sr.‘s disapproval seems to have done little to slow the budding romance, however.
