Is it possible for a bra to be both supportive and comfortable? For many women, the search for the perfect bra that provides ample support without uncomfortable underwire or straps that dig into their shoulders seems never ending.

I was excited to put the LuxeLift Pullover Bra to the test, not only because it had the same comfortable silhouette of bralettes and sports bras that I prefer to wear, but also because a seamless option had been missing in my collection of bras.

Following Knix’s sizing chart, I went ahead with a size small (I normally wear a size 32A) in the shade Beige. When it first arrived at my desk, my first impression was that it looked pretty stiff. But to my surprise, that thought immediately went away when I tried it on. It was honestly like I wasn’t wearing a bra at all, but it also gave me a level of support and shape I never knew was possible with a pullover-style bra.

What I love most about this bra is its padding. Because of its body-hugging nature and silhouette, the padding offers a flattering, full-coverage lift but doesn’t alter the appearance of your bust size. It’s invisible under T-shirts and tight-fitting, jersey long-sleeve tops.

The minor downside is that it stretches out a lot. I don’t know if it’s just the nature of the material but I often find myself pulling the straps back up on to my shoulders every now and again. The good news is that it’s original shape and fit snaps backs after washing.

I didn’t think I would like this bra as much as I do. At first, it was a little tight and hard to put on, and I wondered if I got the wrong size, but it very quickly stretched out (just a bit, nothing to worry about). I love how it shapes and contours to your body and of course, how seamless it is. I got the size small in beige, so naturally it’s completely invisible under my clothes. I wear it with shirts, dresses and everything else in between - no bulging, no visible straps, nothing.

It has added padding if you want a little “oomph,” but you can easily remove them if you’re not into it. It’s easy to wash in the laundry, but I’d recommend letting it air dry.

The only tiny little thing and it’s purely my preference, is that I wish the straps were just slightly thinner. I wear a lot of scoop-neck shirts, so every once in a while you can see the edge of the strap when I move, but again, that’s just me. I can live with this one downside.

Over the years my collection of bras has branched out into subsections: I have my fancy bras, my every day bras, my everyday fancy bras, my around the house bras, my sports bras and my sleeping bras (yes, I sleep in a bra).

I was really excited to try the LuxeLift Pullover Bra because I have always been wary of seamless bras and products. I wasn’t entirely convinced that they provided enough support as traditional underwire, but I’ll be the first one to admit my concerns were unfounded.

While I normally wear a 36C or 34D, Knix sizes their bras by band size as XS (30A) to XXXL (42E). I tried the Indigo in a L, which fit snug around my ribs at first, but quickly adapted to my shape while still delivering enough support. Unlike a sports bra, the Pullover Bra doesn’t batten down the hatches so to speak; it’s not restrictive but still keeps the girls in place.

Although I found the straps a little long, I was completely hooked on this bra after only a few hours of wearing it. It’s become my favourite bra to wear under sweaters and T-shirts because it doesn’t give me the little roll around my back like other bras. I have always been self conscious of what I considered “back fat” but what I now realized was just an ill-fitting bra.

I’ll admit that when it comes to undergarments, comfort is key. I’m usually a bralette kinda gal, but I’m a big fan of the Knix Leakproof Bikini already and was willing to give the LuxeLift Pullover Bra a shot.

I opted for a size small (I’m usually a size 32C) and put it to the test in a few different ways. When I wore the bra to a yoga class, it held up really well, leaving me feeling secure throughout the entire hour-long class. I also wore it while traveling and even after a long day that including a flight, I felt comfortable the whole time.

So have I found my new favourite bra? The answer is no, only because I personally feel like this one offers a little too much coverage for everyday wear, and I hated the padding. Luckily the pads are removable, albeit a little tricky to remove, so I’ll be keeping this bra on hand for low-impact workouts instead.

When we were offered the opportunity to trial these cult favourite bras, I was torn. I’m begrudgingly an underwire girl, through and through — but the reviews back this wireless option up, so I wanted to give it a try. I’m a small in pretty much every top, so when the sizing guide suggest I size up to a medium (I‘m usually a 34C) - I was a bit concerned. But, people, TRUST ME, follow the size guide!

When I tried this bra on for the first time, the first thing I noticed was that it was still snug — which is why I will repeat: follow the size guide. While it was a bit tough to pull over my head (I need my back-fastening options!), I was surprised by how comfortable it was once on.

In terms of feel, I didn’t love how the padding felt when I was wearing the bra, but I did like the added lift that it provides that a lot of wireless bras don’t. Plus, as Elizabeth said, it kept things in place without the help-me-I’m-being-crushed feeling of a sports bra.

I’ve been wearing this mostly when exercising or working from home, and I have to say, it gives my precious underwire bras a run for their money. I don’t think I’m completely ready to give them up just yet — but this bra definitely has me considering it.
