Kyiv downs all missiles as Russia attacks Ukrainian capital from different directions in latest mass attack

Russia unsuccessfully attacked Kyiv overnight on May 8 as part of its latest mass missile and drone attack on Ukraine, the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA) reported.

"The enemy launched a missile attack on the capital — using Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles from Tu-95MS strategic bombers," the KMVA said.

"The air alert in the capital lasted for more than three hours. Rockets attacked Kyiv from different directions."

Several regions in Western Ukraine were targeted, causing NATO ally and neighbor Poland to again raise its planes to the sky.
