Kylie Jenner’s Kobe Bryant tribute reveals she flew with pilot Ara Zobayan

Kylie Jenner has shared a touching tribute to the pilot who died in the helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant and eight others in California on Sunday (January 26).

Jenner paid tribute to those who died on her Instagram story, revealing she sometimes flew with Ara Zobayan, the pilot of the helicopter.

“Rest in peace… and prayers to these families,” she wrote. “I still can’t believe this.

“That was the helicopter I would fly on from time to time with that pilot, Ara. He was such a nice man. Hold your loved ones close.”

The crash in Calabasas, California also claimed the life of Bryant’s 13-year-old daughter Gianna.

Jenner shared an image of Bryant and Gianna on Instagram, writing: “At loss for words right now. praying for this beautiful family.”

Baseball coach John John Altobelli, 56, his wife Keri and daughter Alyssa were also killed in the crash, as well as basketball coach Christina Mauser, Sarah Chester and her daughter Payton.

The helicopter was heading to the Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks, where Bryant coached Gianna basketball.

Tributes to Bryant and the eight others who died have dominated social media in the days since the crash while stars at the Grammys also shared their condolences on the red carpet and during the ceremony.
