Lac La Ronge man's death a homicide and a mystery for RCMP
RCMP in La Ronge say a man found in a home on the Lac La Ronge First Nation, who was later pronounced dead in hospital, was the victim of a homicide and they are looking for more information about what happened.
In a statement issued Wednesday RCMP said the man, identified as McIvor McKenzie, was discovered by officers who were called to a home at Morin's Hill around 10 p.m. CST Monday. A short time later, the man was pronounced dead by staff at the La Ronge Hospital.
An autopsy was done on Wednesday and that's when RCMP determined the man was the victim of a homicide.
No other information on the case was released, but RCMP are asking anyone with information about the man's death to contact them at 306-425-6730 or through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
