Lametti outlines 2 projects aimed at revitalization of Indigenous laws

Justice Minister David Lametti on Wednesday outlined two out of 21 projects receiving government funding, aimed at addressing the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Call to Action 50 on revitalizing Indigenous laws. The two projects, spearheaded by the Association of Iroquois and Allied Indians and Lakehead University, “will help build capacity to implement Indigenous laws, as well as lay the foundation for an Indigenous lawmaking institution,” he said.
