Landfill punch-cards delayed in Neebing

Neebing residents are to continue to use orange bag tags when dumping garbage at the municipality's two landfills while bugs are being worked out of a new punch-card system that was to have come into effect in January. The municipality says the roll-out of the punch-card system has experienced "technical difficulties" that may be rectified by April 1. Punch cards were to be sent to taxpayers by mail. "If you require more bag tags, they are available at the landfill sites," a municipal bulletin said. Under the outgoing bag-tag system, permanent residents receive 100 tags per year, while seasonal residents receive 50. The cost is included in residential property taxes.
