Satellite pictures released on Thursday showed devastation at a Russian air base in Crimea, hit in an attack that suggested Kyiv may have obtained new long-range strike capability with potential to change the course of the war. Power was restored to nearly all NB Power customers early Thursday following a massive outage. On Wednesday, nearly 50,000 customers were without electricity. The outage was caused by a tree falling on a transmission line, NB Power spokesperson Dominique Couture said in an email to CBC News.
