Latvian President calls for firm boundaries with Russia

Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs urged Western nations to overcome their reluctance in establishing and adhering to clear boundaries with Russia in his post on X on March 15.

“I fully support Emmanuel Macron: we should not draw red lines for ourselves, we must draw red lines for Russia and we should not be afraid to enforce them,” Rinkēvičs wrote.

“Ukraine must win, Russia must be defeated. Russia delenda est!”

French President Emmanuel Macron said earlier that Russia cannot and should not win the war against Ukraine.

He also emphasized that for peace to come to Ukraine, the West “must not be weak” and must “boldly declare that we are ready to use the means to achieve our goal – so that Russia does not win.” The French leader also stated that “all options are possible.”
