Lawrencetown crash sends man to hospital via LifeFlight

Cyclist rushed to hospital after being hit by vehicle in Winnipeg

One person had to be airlifted to hospital in Halifax after a serious accident in the Annapolis Valley according to Nova Scotia RCMP. The man was in serious condition at the time.

The single-vehicle crash happened around 10 o'clock Sunday morning on Main Street in Lawrencetown.

RCMP say three people were in the vehicle, when it went off the road and hit a utility pole.

While one person has serious injuries, the other two did not require medical attention said RCMP Cpl. Andrew Joyce.

"There is a road closure, a diversion intact right now as our collision reconstructionists are on scene assisting the RCMP detachment with that investigation," he said.

Motorists are being detoured through nearby Fitch Road and Elliot Road.

Police say the road is expected to be shut down until mid-afternoon.
