Speaking in New Brunswick on Friday, Minister of Public Safety Dominic Leblanc said that the “best way to reassure Canadians” around national security following the release of a foreign interference report is to let the independent judicial inquiry examine the information. “Often the intelligence information that's in the report is one sentence,” LeBlanc said. “So it's a long way away from a proof and that's why I think the idea that we can talk about individuals or names without having a higher degree of of reliability is very dangerous."
