LeBron James Asks $20.5 Million for Brentwood Mansion

LeBron James’s next real estate transaction won’t exactly be a slam dunk: The NBA star has listed one of his multiple lavish Los Angeles homes for $20.5 million, TMZ reports, a bit below the almost $21 million he paid for it in 2015.

The colonial-style mansion, located in the exclusive Brentwood neighborhood, spans nearly 9,500 square feet. It has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, including a main suite with a private balcony and sunlit spa-style bathroom, plus a home gym, wood-paneled office, Calacatta marble kitchen, and circular chandelier-lit breakfast nook. Outdoor amenities include a swimming pool that’s nearly the width of the house, multiple covered and uncovered entertaining areas, and a basketball hoop near the three-car garage.

Though there may be some sentimental value attached to the home, which was James’s first in L.A. and which he bought well before joining the Lakers in 2018, he probably won’t be mourning its loss for too long, as he’s since moved on to (much) bigger and better properties elsewhere in the city.

His most recent addition is a Mediterranean-style compound in Beverly Hills that he purchased for $36.8 million last July. That 2.5-acre, 13,000-square-foot estate includes a main house and two guesthouses, all with luxurious, recently updated interiors, as well as a tennis court, pool and poolhouse, and meticulously landscaped grounds. Past tenants include Katharine Hepburn and, most recently, soap opera mogul Lee Phillip Bell.

James is also the owner of yet another Brentwood mansion, an eight-bedroom, 11-bath home he purchased for $23 million in 2017. That property is equally decked out, boasting a rooftop terrace, home theater, wine cellar, cigar room, auto gallery, and indoor/outdoor gym complete with sauna, steam room, and massage room.
