The Lethbridge Police Service said Thursday it had issued two tickets related to a protest outside City Hall on Tuesday.

Police said they wouldn't be identifying the individual as the charges aren't criminal.

The organizer has been charged with:

  • Contravening an order of the medical officer of health (social gathering) under Section 73 (1) of the Public Health Act, with a penalty of $1,200.

  • Assembly without a permit under City of Lethbridge Bylaw 5651, Section 6, with a penalty of $300.
