Watch: Lewis Capaldi spoofs Netflix shows as he announces documentary
The programme – which is entitled Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now – is set to be unveiled by the streaming service on 5 April.
So to announce the news, Capaldi dressed up as various characters from other shows on Netflix in a hilarious teaser.
His outfits included an orange jumpsuit from Orange Is The New Black and a green period gown from Bridgerton before he appeared in his own casual outfit.
Telling fans when the documentary would be out, the 26-year-old said: “I hope you enjoy it.”
The all-access documentary was filmed over several years and follows the Brit award-winner as he returns to his Scottish roots and attempts to reconnect with his old life.
Containing exclusive never-before-seen footage, it will show Capaldi back at his family home in Scotland to begin work on his second album.
The film “captures Capaldi’s defining year, struggling to balance the familiarity of home, normality, and all he’s ever known, with life as one of the biggest stars on the planet, gleaning an intimate portrait of his unique character, hopes and fears in his own words”.
"Digging beneath the popular clichés surrounding the most unlikely of popstars reveals a deeply thoughtful and self-reflective young man at a unique crossroads in his life as he carries the weight of trying to eclipse the success of his record-breaking debut album."
Fans were thrilled by the comical trailer, posting messages on social media saying: "I love you!"
"Love u Lewis, u seem like such a genuine, funny, and nice person," said another.
"You actually crack me up," said someone else.
Netflix will release Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now globally on 5 April 2023.
