Liberals’ conversion therapy bill fails to pass the Senate before summer break

The Liberal government's Bill C-6, which would outlaw conversion therapy, did not make it through the Senate before it broke for the summer today. It's now stuck in a holding pattern until the fall session. But with talk of an election growing, there is real fear the bill could die altogether if Parliament is dissolved. Conversion therapy is widely condemned as homophobic, abusive and psychologically damaging.
