The lighter side of Rachel Notley: rapid-fire Q & A

Alberta Premier Rachel Notley sat down for an extensive interview with CBC Calgary News at 6's Rob Brown on Friday, addressing the hot political topics of the day, including pipelines, interprovincial relationships and her party's first year-and-a-half in office.

Then Brown took the conversation a little off script to learn more about the person behind the premier.

Here's how it unfolded:

Are you a morning person or night owl?

Rachel Notley: Used to be a night owl, now I am a morning person.

Classical music or classic rock?

That is a toughie. Both, I love music.

Dogs or cats?

Dogs, because they are better. I just lost the cat vote, I know. I have this debate with some of my colleagues all the time.

Good take-out or a good home-cooked meal, if you have to cook it?

I was going to say, good home-cooked meal by my husband is the thing, but at this point of my life I am going to go with good take-out.

On time or always running late?

Always. Running. Late.

Roller-coaster or bumper cars?

Bumper cars. In control.

Night on the town or a night with Netflix?

On the town.

Favourite show?

What am I watching these days? Well, I am pretty excited about Game of Thrones which I know is still a ways away, but I am a fan.

Edmonton Oilers or the Calgary Flames in the Western Conference Finals?

The Oilers. I am sorry, I got to stick with my team, man. I have been an Oilers fan forever. That is not going to change, I am too old for that.
