Lindsay Lohan Mentions Allah After Dad Denies Conversion
Lindsay Lohan is once again calling out to people to unite as one by sharing an Islam-inspired message on social media. Her post comes days after her father, Michael, slammed rumors that the “Mean Girls” star has converted to the Muslim religion.
On Friday, Lohan shared on Instagram a quote by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner about love being the source of both good and bad in this world. While the quote in itself is quite enlightening, Lohan shared her own thoughts about the ongoing oppression and conflicts in certain countries in her caption. Being the pacifist that she is, Lohan said she hopes everyone will be grateful and stop fighting each other because “we all live in one world.” The former Disney child actress then used “inshallah” to convey her message that this will be possible if Allah wills it.
Many of Lohan’s Islam fans quickly responded to her post and gave her encouragement, given that she’s said earlier this year that she’s studying Islam and is in the process of converting to the religion. One fan wrote: “You go, girl. May Allah grant you and everyone of us protection in this world and hereafter.” Another fan chimed in: “Continue your journey with Allah and you’ll find true peace and an abundance of happiness.”

Interestingly, Lohan’s Islam-inspired post comes just days after her father addressed the rumors of her conversion and insisted that the Hollywood celeb is changing her religion. Page Six exclusively reported on Tuesday, citing a now-deleted Facebook post, that the actress’ father wrote, “I guess she’s not Muslim.”
After receiving some backlash because of the post, Michael apologized, but he continued to insist that the “Freaky Friday” star is Christian. “I’m sorry if I offended anyone… I was just stating that the press is wrong, my daughter is not of Muslim faith. She was raised Catholic but is Christian.” It wasn’t clear what made Michael say this when Lohan herself admitted early last month that she’s studying the Quran and even confirmed that she’s in the process of converting.
Meanwhile, Lohan is currently gearing up for her comeback project in Hollywood, a social media reality series entitled “The Anti-Social Network.” The premise is apparently a bit similar to Ashton Kutcher’s MTV show “Punk’d,” but this time Lohan will be taking control of what the contestants are supposed to do in 24 hours.
