A list of Canada Day celebrations across Windsor-Essex

Happy birthday, Canada. It's party time and there are plenty of ways to celebrate the occasion in Windsor-Essex.

Tourism Windsor-Essex-Pelee-Island has list of activities for the entire family on its website.

Canada Day Celebration & Parade

This year's parade takes place at 11 a.m. on Wyandotte Street E., between Devonshire Road and Glengarry Avenue.

Activities include a midway, children's entertainment and a 5,000-piece birthday cake.

Canada Day and The Return of Fort Malden

It's a day of celebration free of charge at Fort Malden in Amherstburg. It starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 11 p.m., after a fireworks finale over the Detroit River.

Canada Day and Ice Cream Festival

This year's Ice Cream Festival will be held in the Toddy Jones Park, where there will be face painting, balloons, ice cream and more. It's free admission and runs from 12 p.m. to midnight. Fireworks are set for 10 p.m.

Lakeshore Canada Day

Canada Day starts with a parade at 3 p.m. followed by the flag raising ceremony and festivities at Stoney Point Park at 4:30 p.m.

Activities include a Border City Barkers dog agility show, lawnmower races, bubble soccer, and a skateboard competition. All of that is followed by a live performance at by Le Groupe Swing at 8 p.m. Fireworks are scheduled for 9:50 p.m.

Leamington Canada Day Fireworks

Seacliff Park's splash pad will be open. There will be a children's play area, and live music at 7 p.m. Fireworks start at 10:05 p.m. on the shores of Lake Erie.

Canada Day at Adventure Bay

Adventure Bay will mark Canada's birthday with special admissions of $12 for adults and $7 for children under 12, with $2 from each admission to be donated in support of We Care For Kids, Windsor Essex Care For Kids Foundation.
