You Can Go Live On TikTok To Chat With All Your Followers But There's a Catch
You might be on TikTok mostly for the dancing and hilarious vids (and the occasional drama, of course), but did you know that you can actually go live on the platform. Yup, just like on Instagram, you can broadcast live to your followers and talk to them through the comments. Want to find out how to host your own little live show on TikTok? Here's everything you need to know.
Can anyone go live on TikTok?
Unfortunately, no, so if you're struggling to go live on the platform, it's probably because you aren't able to. In order to go live on TikTok, you must have at least 1,000 followers. Also, while the minimum age to make an account is 13, you have to be at least 16 to go live. So even if you have over 1,000 followers, if you're 15 or younger, you still won't be able to use the feature.
How do you go live?
If you meet those requirements, you're ready to go live! Luckily, the steps to do so are really easy. Simply hit the plus button on the bottom of your screen like you normally would to make a video.
Swipe left at the bottom until it says "Live."
Add a title, as well as filters if you like, and then go live and enjoy chatting with your followers in real time!
