They’ll be dancing on the bar at this new Bellingham lounge, plus craft market dates

Boots Bar and Lounge of Bellingham announced it would officially open at the beginning of December.

According to the business’s social media pages, the location at 1263 Barkley Blvd. will open Dec. 1. The business has advertised open positions for the new bar since October for bar and serving staff. According to one of the hiring advertisements, serving staff will be dancing on the bar in the style of “Coyote Ugly.”

Business hours will be from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Tuesday, 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. In the comments of a social media post, the business said it will be charging a cover beginning at 9 p.m.

Honest to Goodness Personal Chef Services has expanded its services to Bellingham after 10 years of serving the Puget Sound region, according to its website.

The personal chef and catering service is now available for free consultations with interested customers. According to the business’s website, a chef will come to the client’s home once a week and prepare meals for the week following any dietary needs. Services include meal planning, shopping, prepping and cooking.

Pricing for a personal chef range from $340 to $595 a week plus the cost of groceries, according to the business’s site. The price would cover the preparation of three to six meals of four to six portions per meal. Services for special events and dinner parties are also available.

Magdalena’s Bistro and Creperie announced its temporary closure in a social media post this week.

The spot at 1200 10th St. in Bellingham, popular for its hand-made pierogies and cooking classes, will close until Dec. 15. The business will reopen for Christmas dinner beginning Dec. 16. Hours are from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Fridays and from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Pacific Arts Market will be setting up shop in a new location in Sunset Square for three weekends in December, according to a social media post.

The market will take place at 1145 E. Sunset Drive and feature over 40 vendors. Shopping for art, gifts and crafts will be available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Vendors include Bellingham Skirt Sisters, Sea Jewel Canvas Company, It’s the Sweet Things and many more.
