Local by Atta plans to rebuild after fire
The owners of Local by Atta are still going ahead with their plans for expansion despite a fire that devastated the business last weekend.
Brothers, Julian and Jesse Howatt, own the business and are already thinking about the next step.
"We've had a chance to come inside and it's not not looking very good," said Julian.
"I'm not sure how much we'll be able to salvage, if any, from here, so as a result we're working with the insurer to move forward."
He said the fire won't stop the plans for expansion.
"We'd already been planning a larger farm for some time. We just couldn't produce enough at this scale, so it'll be a larger farm and more efficient."
The brothers hope to reopen in September.
"That's probably as fast as we can make it all happen. There's a lot of steps in the process before we get to that point."
The Moncton Fire Department was unable to determine the cause of the fire due to the extensive damage.
