The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is hoping to make a big splash this summer.
The Chatham-Kent recreation department plans to offer a full slate of programs in July and August across the municipality.
Registration is now open for camps and swimming lessons at indoor and outdoor pools. Ann Robinson, Manager of Recreation Services said by opening up registration now, they hope it allows parents the time to successfully plan their summer.
“We know that parents and caregivers have had a long year and are looking to find some stability in summer care and activities for their children,” said Robinson. “While we understand that provincial guidelines may change, we are excited to plan for a return of our camp programs and summer swimming lessons at this time.”
The CKRecreation team has been working closely with CK Public Health to reopen its programs, including implementing new protocols to ensure public health guidelines are followed. These protocols include physical distancing measures, gathering restrictions, hand hygiene and face coverings.
Stay-N-Play Camps, inclusive recreation camps and swimming lessons are open for registration.
To register, call 519-360-1998 for information on dates, times, locations, prices and program descriptions. Space is limited because of grouping restrictions, so early registration is recommended.
Changes to provincial COVID-19 guidelines could result in programming changes or cancellations.
In the event of insufficient registration, the patron has the option to receive a full refund, transfer registration to another session or location (space permitting) or upgrade to a private lesson (additional fees may apply).
