    Halifax Infirmary fire suppression services about 2 weeks away from being fully restored

    It will be another two weeks before water service is fully restored at the Halifax Infirmary following two water main breaks earlier this month at the hospital's steam plant.The breaks on April 3 resulted in the loss of drinking water, fire suppression services and the ability to flush the toilets.     Road closures coming to DVP, section of King West

    Closures are coming for stretches of both the Don Valley Parkway and King Street W., with city officials warning people to plan ahead and leave with extra time as traffic impacts are expected.In a news release issued Thursday, the city said that road work is coming to the southbound lanes of the DVP, starting around 10 p.m. and running until about 5:30 a.m. on Friday.     Windsor, Tecumseh receive $4.6 million in provincial funds for transit

    Transit services in Windsor and Tecumseh will get a boost, thanks to more than $4.6 million in gas tax funding handed out by the province on Thursday.     1 dead after stabbing in Etobicoke: Toronto police

    Toronto police say a man is dead and a suspect has been arrested after a stabbing in Etobicoke on Thursday afternoon.Police posted on X, formerly Twitter, that the incident happened just after 2 p.m. in the Eglinton and Kipling avenues area.Police said there is no threat to public safety but have released no further information at this time.The homicide unit is set to take over the investigation.
