Lodi zoo reopens after closing for 7 months due to pandemic

The only zoo between Sacramento and Fresno reopened in San Joaquin County on Monday. The Micke Grove Zoo in Lodi has been closed for nearly seven months due to the novel coronavirus outbreak. San Joaquin County is in the red tier, or substantial tier, which allows zoos to open indoor exhibits with modifications. Micke Grove Zoo reopened with several COVID-19 modifications: hand sanitizer stations, visitors are required to wear masks and surfaces are kept clean.
