London teen uttered death threats with fake gun at school, say police

The London student who brought a fake handgun to school Tuesday has been charged with possession of a dangerous weapon and uttering death threats.

Clarke Road Secondary School was under lockdown during the investigation that eventually revealed the 16-year-old student brought a fake gun to school.

The student had left the school after complaints were made, but he was arrested a short distance from the property. Police located the gun and discovered it was a replica.

"London Police would like to take this opportunity to remind the public that all firearms, real or fake, pose a significant threat to public safety," police stated in a news release. "Our officers will consider all firearms real until determined otherwise."
