Longest, heaviest female gator in state history taken in South Mississippi, MDWFP confirms
A state record-setting alligator was certified Sunday, the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks announced.
Hunting on the Pascagoula River, Jason Ullendorf bagged a female gator that measured 11 feet and 3/4-inches, breaking the previous state record for a female alligator by nearly a foot. Ullendorf’s haul also was a state record for weight of a female gator, coming in at 324 pounds, with a belly girth of 37 inches and a tail girth of 32 inches.
The measurements and weight were certified by MDWFP Alligator Program Coordinator Andrew Arnett.
