Nov. 14 (UPI) -- A diaper-wearing kangaroo escaped near a Florida elementary school, sparking a search before being apprehended by sheriff's deputies.

The Hernando County Sheriff's Office issued an alert on social media Wednesday telling local residents that a baby kangaroo wearing a diaper and a blue harness was on the loose near J.D. Floyd Elementary School.

The post was updated a short time later saying the 4-month-old joey had been spotted near the Wind Chime Tree, a local landmark in Snow Hill.

A second update about 10 minutes later announced the baby kangaroo, still clad in its diaper, had been located and captured in Plantation Estates.
