Looking for a smart dog who loves big? Olathe-based group wants you to meet Billy

Billy

Breed: Pit bull terrier mix

Age: 7 years old

Billy is the world’s sweetest, smartest boy. He’s done extensive training with his foster mom at Pawsitive Tails and knows sit, lay, stay, give, paw, turn, leave it, crawl, heel and loads of hand signals. Billy is kennel trained and housebroken. So if you’re looking for already-trained pup, Billy is your boy. He would do best in a calmer home with a canine friend as he’s great with other dogs. This big boy is a bit shy at first, but once he warms up, he loves you big and wants to be your best buddy.

Azuko

Breed: Australian cattle dog mix

Age: 2 years old

The bestest boy ever is here to make your day brighter. Azuko has worked really hard to get where he’s at now. He’s spent most of his life feeling unsure about what each day would bring, but since coming to Wayside, he’s continue to learn what life as a normal dog can be like.

He’s blossomed into a smart, curious, affectionate, playful man. As you can see, he’s got quite the expressive face. He enjoys staying active, and loves physical and mental exercise. Other dogs make him happy, so he does need to go home with another dog. Azuko will require some time to warm up to people, but you will be in for such a treat if you open your heart to him.

Tiberius

Breed: Domestic shorthair mix

Age: 4 years old

Tiberius is a a shy guy who likes routine. He was brought to Wayside as a stray, and he was pretty scared. It was hard for him to adjust to shelter life, but he did enjoy the comfort, warmth, food and care he was receiving. Because of this, Tiberius went to stay with his foster mom, and the rest is history.

We’ve learned that he likes other cats, and has met a dog. It’s OK to be scared and figure out new places, because his foster mom gave him a safe environment to work through his fears. All he really wants is love, family, and a place to belong — and maybe a cat tree or two. Take a chance on Tiberius. Call 816-986-4426 to schedule a time to meet him.
