Lost Paws — a volunteering opportunity By Kenyon Stronski Local Journalism Initiative Reporter Taber Times The Taber Lost Paws Society is currently looking for volunteers to walk and feed their dogs. During the summer months, a lot of the regular Lost Paws volunteers are on holidays, and the society is still fundraising to finish their outdoor kennel runs. However, until these are finished, the local group is in need of more volunteers to help with the walking and feeding times. Lost Paws has four times during the day available to pick from. In addition to volunteers, the society is also looking for foster families for the dogs, so they don’t have extended stays in the shelter. The Lost Paws society says, “volunteering isn’t only rewarding, but very therapeutic when it comes to walking dogs, spending time with them and giving them all the love and attention they need.” The society also needs volunteers to help with fundraising or events if they don’t want to walk dogs. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age to apply. You can apply to volunteer at taberlostpawssociety.com/volunteer.
