$50 million Lotto Max jackpot: Check your tickets Ontario, you may have won

Time to check your lottery tickets in you live in Ontario because someone is holding the winning ticket for the $50 million Lotto Max jackpot from the Tuesday, March 16 draw.

The winning ticket was sold somewhere in Perth County.

This massive prize is the second largest jackpot in Ontario and follows a $70 million jackpot win from the Feb. 26 draw, recently claimed by a winner from Noëlville.

The Thursday draw also resulted in some other big winners in the province, the second prize ticket worth $279,418.40 sold in Hamilton and an Encore ticket worth $100,000 sold in Pickering.

Players can check their tickets from home on OLG.ca, by using the OLG Lottery App, signing up for winning number email alerts or by calling the WIN! Line at 416-870-8946 (Toronto area) or toll free at 1-866-891-8946 (outside Toronto area).

The next Lotto Max jackpot is estimated at $13 million. Player can purchase tickets until 10:30 p.m. Friday, March 19 for that evening's draw. Lotto Max draws are twice a week, on Tuesdays and Friday. Players receive three sets of seven numbers, ranging from one to fifty, for each $5 play. All seven numbers must match, in any one set, to win the jackpot or the Maxmillions prizes.

Since its launch in Sept. 2009, Ontario Lotto Max players have won over $6 billion.
