With Love Island traditionally running for eight weeks between June and July, ITV bosses have announced that they will instead be broadcasting the first season of the Australian spin-off every night from June.
First airing in May 2018, Love Island Australia follows the same format as its British counterpart and sees a group of single people compete to win a $50,000 (about £27,000) prize by finding love in a Mallorcan villa.
The show is presented by Sophie Monk, while Eoghan McDermott provides the voiceover commentary.
The cancellation of Love Island UK was announced in May, after the showrunners admitted that it would be “logistically impossible” to go ahead with filming.
Earlier in 2020, Love Island aired its first winter season filmed in South Africa, with Finn Tapp and Paige Turley walking away with the £50,000 cash prize.
