‘Loving Elvis’ Docuseries Finds U.S. Partner In Peacock
EXCLUSIVE: Elvis Presley was a big fan of peacocks until he banned them from Graceland after they started pecking at his gold Cadillac.
Streamer Peacock is not holding a grudge and will air a recent docuseries on The King and his relationship with various women. The NBCU-platform has picked up Loving Elvis from British production company Renowned Films. It will launch on November 13.

The series was originally ordered by Amazon Prime Video, which aired it in the UK and across certain European territories earlier this year. It was titled Elvis’ Women internationally.
The series will look at the loves, dalliances, and forbidden courtships of Presley and will feature conversations with his nurse, his fiancé, his live-in girlfriends, and a few young fans who desperately dreamt of more.
The story is told by seventeen women and two men who observed the King across the decades from the 1950s through to the 1970s. It will also explore his relationship with his mother Gladys Presley – considered his one true love.
It is the latest Elvis-shaped project to come out; Priscilla, from Sofia Coppola, is currently in theaters and Elvis, starring Austin Butler was released last year.
The three-part series is produced by Renowned Films, which is backed by Critical Content, and Paramount-owned See It Now Studios. Max Welch, Tim Withers, Kate Maddigan exec produce for Renowned Films, while Susan Zirinksy and Terry Wrong for See It Now. Barbara Shearer series directs and Suzanne Finstad produces.
Max Welch said, “Loving Elvis finally lifts the lid on areas of the Elvis story long ignored. The series is an exploration of a complicated man, his dark sides and desires. Elvis was a massively conflicted individual, as will be revealed through the eyes of women who loved him the most.”
