Lucy Hale Wants This "Pretty Little Liars" Character to Appear in “Katy Keene”

Hint: It's definitely not “A.”

Are we ready for a Riverdale universe and Rosewood crossover? Before you get too excited, know that this isn't actually happening, but Katy Keene star Lucy Hale did recently share which Pretty Little Liars character she'd like to see show up in New York City, and it's not her former character Aria Montgomery.

In an interview with BuzzFeed Celeb, Lucy answered fans' burning questions about her new role as the aspiring fashion designer Katy Keene in the Riverdale spinoff, as well as which PLL character she could see hanging out with Katy and her friends.

“Hanna Marin would fit in well in the Katy Keene world,” Lucy said. “Cause Hanna was always into fashion on PLL, Katy’s into fashion. That’d be cool. Just pitched an idea. Maybe they'll do that." Um, yes please! We could totally see Hanna hanging out in New York with an edgy fashion line of her own.

While a PLL and Katy Keene crossover episode probably isn't going to happen (sorry to burst your bubble), Lucy did dish on the brief Riverdale and Katy crossover featuring Camila Mendes, AKA Veronica Lodge. "It was amazing! Katy Keene has already premiered, but the day before it premiered, you got an introduction into who Katy was," Lucy shared. "Katy Keene takes place five years in the future, so in order for Katy to go to Riverdale, I had to go back in time to become a teenager. It was really fun. Cami's amazing, and Veronica is the tie-in for Katy in Riverdale ... they've been friends their whole life." Lucy also teased that a few more Riverdale characters will be popping up on Katy Keene, including Mark Consuelos's character Hiram Lodge, but kept mum about the others.

Speaking of Riverdale, a fan asked if Lucy thinks PLL and the CW drama are similar, and she agreed that the two shows do share some DNA. "There's always going to be comparisons, you always draw inspiration from other things, and I think it's flattering. After PLL ended, Riverdale started, so I think those fans went to Riverdale," Lucy shared. "It's a teen drama about murders, so yes! Definitely some similarities there."

Despite the fact that we don't think Hanna Marin will be showing up on the streets of NYC, consider this an official plea to get a cameo from Ashley Benson on an episode of Katy Keene.
