In mid-March, the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan was signed into law. While its most notable provision was the round of $1,400 stimulus checks that have since landed in millions of bank accounts, it also made health insurance a lot more affordable to the public. Per that plan, health insurance subsidies were expanded to make coverage more manageable for a larger number of Americans.
