Two-thirds of H1-B visa applications this year are from Indians

US president Donald Trump’s protectionist stance has not stopped Indians from forming the bulk of the H-1B applicants yet again this year. Over 67% of the total 275,000 electronic registrations for H-1B visas in fiscal year 2021 are from India, the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) said on April 1. The numbers are in keeping with previous years wherein Indians and Chinese have been the largest beneficiaries of the H-1B.
