MacNutt Mayor Appoints Councillor Andrews as Deputy Mayor

Mayor Shane Wagner called the regularly scheduled meeting of the MacNutt Village Council to order with all members present and accounted for.

The council began with reviewing the agenda prior to Councillor Andrews making the motion to approve the amended agenda; motion carried.

Carrying on, the council reviewed the minutes of the February 2, 2021 council meeting before Mayor Wagner made a motion to accept the minutes as reviewed; motion carried.

Moving on, the council reviewed the correspondence received by the village over the last month including a letter from an individual looking to view a property in the village. Heritage Saskatchewan is asking about renewing the $50 membership. Councillor Andrews made the motion to renew the membership; motion carried. Milligan Bio wrote the council about dust control. Other letters include those from Park N’ Play Designs - Canada Healthy Communities Initiative Grant, Municipalities of Saskatchewan sent a thank you for renewing a membership, Advisory Services about being short-staffed, and Cathay Wagantall, MP - for support for a national suicide prevention 3 digit number. Mayor Wagner made a motion to support MP Wagantall’s suicided prevention 3 digit number; motion carried. Mayor Wagner made a motion to file the correspondence; motion carried.

Next, the council heard from a member of the public to discuss demolishing old houses in the village. Mayor Wagner made a motion to have a dumpster brought in to help with the clean up of these properties; motion carried.

Carrying on, the council reviewed the Financials starting with the Statement of Receipts and Bank Reconciliation before Mayor Wagner made a motion to accept the statement and reconciliation; motion carried.

The council reviewed the Payables for approval before Councillor Cartwright made a motion to pay the bills; motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS

The council discussed the Board of Revision Decision review as well as a Zoning Bylaw.

Next, the council discussed the Emergency Plan and that there are a few updates to it. Councillor Andrews was appointed Deputy Mayor with a motion by Mayor Wagner; motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS

The council discussed the invoicing from T&C plumbing.

Next, the council discussed that the Tax Enforcement on several lots in the village is complete and now owned by the village. Mayor Wagner made a motion to advertise the properties in the local paper; motion carried.

Carrying on, the council discussed the Appointment for the Board of Revision for 2021. The council accepted the 3 individuals as well as the secretary with a motion by Councilor Cartwright; motion carried.

Mayor Wagner adjourned the meeting; carried.
