Macon car crash leaves passenger dead, driver hospitalized, sheriff’s office says.

A passenger died after a crash in North Macon Friday night, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said the driver was on a Honda Civic and ran off the road, hitting multiple trees and a fence near Rivoli Ridge Drive. Responders got a 911 call just before 10 p.m. about the crash.

The driver and a passenger were taken to Atrium Navicent Health hospital.

The driver was listed in stable condition. The passenger, 31-year-old Devan Fishback. Family have been notified, according to Chief Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley.

The accident was under investigation and anyone with information was urged to call the sheriff’s office at 478-751-7500.
