Macon man faces several charges after a shooting leaves 1 injured, deputies say
One man has been detained after a shooting at a Macon residence Saturday, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
A 911 call was made around 3:30 a.m. regarding a person shot at a residence in the 3600 block of Mercer University Drive, the sheriff’s office said. When deputies arrived, they found a 37-year-old man “suffering from a gunshot wound,” a news release from the sheriff’s office said.
Paramedics took the victim to Atrium Health Navicent hospital for treatment where he was listed in stable condition. No one else was injured, deputies said.
Victor Michelle Brown, 59, was arrested and taken into custody at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. Brown’s gun was also recovered, according to the sheriff’s office.
Brown faces seven counts of aggravated assault, four counts of first-degree cruelty to children and reckless conduct.
