MAFS UK's Amy responds to "challenging" Homestays episode with statement
Married at First Sight UK spoilers follow.
Married at First Sight UK star Amy Kenyon has shared a statement in response to her "challenging" Homestays episode.
Last night's (November 4) events proved emotional for her and groom Luke Debono, as the couple regularly clashed.
One particularly heated moment saw Luke take his ring off while meeting with Amy's friends, arguing he had been "disrespected" by their line of questioning, while Amy called him a "dick" after he suggested the ring "wouldn’t be going back on".

Taking to her Instagram page ahead of the broadcast, Amy admitted that the episode "will be a difficult one to watch for" her.
"I’m not proud of my behaviour or of the person I was pushed to become, I might be over reacting writing this but I look back at this person and remember how I lost me," she wrote.
"Emotions ran extremely high during home stays, with a lot of tension building up at that point due to things going on behind the scenes, which unfortunately cannot be disclosed out of respect."

Amy explained that when she visited her home, her mother was "really down" and "didn’t want to be part of the filming", adding that her mum "unintentionally hinted at some tough news regarding my brother, which made an already challenging time even harder".
"Please be kind when watching, to both myself, Luke, and my amazing friends," the star continued. "Remember that what you see is only a few clips from many hours of filming.
"It’s hard to see things being portrayed this way, but at the end of the day, this is the reality of TV, and it’s what I signed up for. I know I’m not demanding, boring, or any of the other things I’ve been called recently by a select few.
"I am a strong woman that knows her worth and doesn’t take shit, I’m also not an actor and never aspire to be. The people who know me know the real me, and that’s all that matters."

She concluded the post by expressing hope that fans "enjoy" the episode and "the rest of mine and Luke’s journey together", teasing: "We just might surprise you.
"Love, kindness, and positivity to you all and to the judgmental trolls that don’t know me, f**k you x," Amy signed off.
Luke also shared a brief statement ahead of the episode, writing in a post on his Instagram page: "Whatever happens tonight, I strongly urge everyone to show empathy, respect and love with our words and our comments."
